Healing from within

  • Tao touch® - chi nei tsang

Chi Nei Tsang (CNT) is an ancient healing modality that was used by the White Cloud Taoist monks in China. This healing art form optimizes the body’s ability to heal itself by offering guided support in becoming aware of the patterns of tension that hold emotional charges and cause dis-ease in the body. It addresses the metabolic, structural, mental, emotional, and spiritual nature of the human form, thus providing a holistic framework to heal. It is a hands-on approach that gently but deeply stimulates the internal organs in order to process, digest, and outgrow what does not promote life and enjoyment.

  • Effective treatment for

    Digestive Issues

    Chronic Fatigue

    Back Pain & Sciatica

    Uterine Fibroids

    Prolapsed Bladder

    Detoxification

    Insomnia

    Depression & Anxiety

    Hormone Imbalance

    Grief

    And more…

  • What is Taoism?

Taoism is a Chinese philosophy for how to live in harmony with the universe we inhabit, including our own bodies. Its 3 pillars are rooted in simplicity, patience and compassion. This system, which is the basis for Chi Nei Tsang, is not in conflict with any religion. In fact, it can work with them as long as it serves the same goal to support the person in their journey toward vitality, enjoyment of life, and wholeness. In this way it can enhance religious and spiritual beliefs and practices.

"To heal, we don't need to be intelligent, we don't need to be good, and we don't need to deserve it. Healing is pure grace. To heal, we do need honesty.  We need to be true to ourselves.  We need to be able to admit that we have feelings we wish we didn't have. We need to own these feelings so we can outgrow them, and so we can mature as human beings."

WHAT TO EXPECT

  1. Prepare for your session by eating and drinking normally and by wearing clothes that allow you to expose your abdomen. During your treatment, you will remain fully clothed.

  2. We will begin with a dialogue to discuss your health history and any current health (physical, mental, spiritual, emotional) issues you would like to address.

  3. During the session, I will guide you to breathe mindfully into areas that have chi (energy/blood flow) blockages. By doing this, you may experience a deep sense of relaxation and re-connection with yourself on a physical and emotional level. Some may experience powerful emotional releases and some may even fall asleep, all of this is part of the therapeutic experience. Your body will release what it needs to in the best way it sees fit, and through your focus on the breath alone, you will support it.

  4. After the treatment, I will offer simple self-care exercises that you can do at home to support and maintain your well-being. Our emotional digestion happens when we sleep at night. It is suggested that you get plenty of sleep after your session (at least 8-10 hours).

*Table is cleaned after each visit with hospital-grade sanitizer.

Processing blocked emotions through the subconscious process of Chi Nei Tsang was very powerful, healing, and transformative. It felt vulnerable, and Lori held the space with care and consideration, and I felt fully supported by her through the process. I feel very lucky to have experienced Tao Touch® with Lori, and I was able to see concrete ways that it positively impacted my well-being.

Corie H., Texas

“I came into the session open to experience whatever it was going to be. While I didn't have any grand epiphanies or major emotional releases, I felt cared for and grateful for the opportunity to tune into my body and build awareness. I would recommend for anyone feeling stagnant or needing an extra turn inward.”

Kristin H., California

“I am so grateful I found this modality. The effects and awareness I have gained are truly amazing. Showing me my body/mind connection on a new level, as the blocks were loosened, untangled and released. Lori is one of the best practitioners I have ever worked with - warm, empathetic, professional, and highly intuitive. I would recommend Tao Touch-CNT for anyone with a desire to co-create their healing on a deeper level.”

Val N., Texas

“Lori provided a safe space and lovely calm for this practice. I felt I was in good hands. Breathing into her touch allowed me to release stored-up anxiety and sciatica pain I’d carried for years. She also gave me a valuable grounding exercise that placed me in the present. She is trustworthy and skilled.”

Lou M., Texas

"I enjoyed experiencing a Tao Touch session with Lori and could sense her genuine care for this work. Not only did I feel an energetic release in my digestive system during the session, but my energy continued to shift positively for a few days after the session. Each person will experience something different based on their needs, but Lori's presence and commitment to this type of work is undoubtedly part of the healing experience."

Faith G., Texas

Getting to experience CNT with Lori was a powerful experience. I was able to release both some stagnant pain and old emotions through our process together, and it felt like a very healing experience. Lori holds a safe space for healing and walks you through the process in a way where you feel supported from beginning to end. I highly recommend working with Lori!.”

Sara S., Texas

“Lori did a great job of paying attention to my issues. She recommended self care exercises and instructions to help me. She worked specifically on any issues I was currently dealing with. Each session left me relaxed and refreshed.”

Why “dragonfly”?

In  2015 a phrase came to me and would not let me go.

“Go to the water, learn from the water,”

Soon after I had a dream that I was climbing up the side of a cliff, much like Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, and a massive tidal wave came crashing in. As I looked back I could see a dragonfly hover over the crest of the tidal wave, turn upside down, and lay its back against it. “Is it dead?”, I thought, but I recognized that it was in a position of surrender.

In April 2015, just months after this dream, I was working for a client in Nepal when 2 devastating earthquakes hit. This dream immediately guided me to surrender to the “tidal wave” that could utterly destroy me, to that which I cannot control, and to life in each moment. What was most surprising was the reaction of the Nepali people. After each quake or aftershock, once everyone’s well-being was confirmed, they would move into celebration, tea, dancing, and song. I had never experienced anything like this: Such joy in the face of devastation, such life at the doorstep of death. I was forever changed and ushered into a new way of “being”.

Dragonfly reminds us that what we think is in direct proportion to what we see on the surface. It invites us to see through the haze and mist of illusion, to adapt to change, and to step into transformation and a life of abundance.

MY HEALING JOURNEY

I experienced my first burnout in 2005 which initiated my gut and digestive problems. The issues continued accelerating throughout my 20’s and 30’s until my diet became so restrictive, due to SIBO, that I could only choose from 20 things or so to eat. Because of my leaky gut, I would then become allergic to half of those things and be at square 1 again trying to figure out what to eat without causing a reaction.

With so much of our social time revolving around food, the journey became very isolating. No one was able to give me an explanation for why I was having so many issues, so I had to get in tune with my own body and trust my intuition in order to heal. I had tried what felt like everything: Acupuncture, cupping, chiropractic, massage, EMDR therapy, brain therapy, psychotherapy, elimination diets, western medicine, eastern medicine, Chinese herbs, muscle testing, essential oils, intermittent fasting, earthing, steroid cream, parasite cleanses, de-worming medication, antibiotics, meditation, prayer, Christian healers, shamans, kundalini yoga, hydrotherapy, tai chi, energy healers, angels, spirit guides, books, workshops, and sacred spaces. If you have been on this journey, you understand how exhausting and confusing it can be. While all of these things helped move me forward in some capacity, I was still experiencing fatigue, foggy brain, anxiety, and digestive issues. I felt like I was at the end of me.

In 2018 I met a healing facilitator in Colorado who introduced me to Chi Nei Tsang. The work was deep and powerful and I finally began to see the internal shifts I was seeking. It produced profound changes in my life by reconnecting me to the hidden parts of myself I was too afraid to see, but also to joy and deep rest.

5 years later I am now a certified practitioner. When I began online courses, the first lesson was about the foundation of the water element. Since the time the phrase “Go to the water, learn from the water” came to me about 9 years ago, it now feels like I’m coming home. TaoTouch®-Chi Nei Tsang is “healing from within”. I look forward to sharing this modality with you as you bravely unlock your body's natural ability to heal itself by giving it the right conditions.
